A 23-year-old man from Guatemala has been sentenced to 87 days behind bars and will be processed for deportation for using false identification documents while in Maine illegally.


Heating oil prices continue to go down in Maine. The Governor's Office of Energy Independence and Security said Monday its latest survey found the average cash price for heating oil had fallen $2.58 a gallon, down 2 cents from last week. The lowest prices were in southern Maine, with the highest in eastern parts of the state.
