| Federal regulators have renewed the operating license for Kansas' only nuclear power plant through 2045. The Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station near Burlington received approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, extending the license that was originally scheduled to expire in 2025. | The Kansas Highway Patrol says icy roads have contributed to at least two fatal accidents. Both happened Monday morning in the southeastern part of the state. | ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) and the University of Kansas (KU) today announced a three-year collaborative nanotechnology research program which will focus on the development and testing of new technologies for oilfield stimulation to enhance recovery to help meet growing energy demand.
