TORONTO, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Vince Carter capped off a spectacular performance with a game-winning dunk as time expired in overtime Friday, giving New Jersey a 129-127 win over Toronto.


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Pinnacle Entertainment, already stalled in its plan for a $2 billion mega-casino in Atlantic City, is ending its bid to be chosen to build a Kansas casino. The company cites "the current turmoil in the financial markets." A spokeswoman is not saying whether the timetable for building in Atlantic City will be affected.


Vince Carter dropped 39 points on the Toronto Raptors.

Vince Carter poured in a season-high 39 points, including the desperation three-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime and the game-winning alley-oop dunk as time expired in the extra frame against his former team, to lead the Nets in a wild 129-127 win over the Raptors.


Warren Toda/EPA Vince Carter made the tying 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to overtime, then slammed an alley-oop dunk for the winning basket.


Vince Carter scored 39 points against his former team, Devin Harris added 30 and the New Jersey Nets rallied from an 18-point, third-quarter deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors 129-127 in overtime on Friday night.


Barry Tallackson got the word during Friday's morning skate that he might play his first NHL game Friday night since undergoing corrective heart surgery in September.
